Allan Anderson

Allan graduated from Glasgow School of Art in the 1960's, during this period whilst still a student he exhibited paintings and sculptures at the RGI. He then went onto lecturer in art and design in Glasgow. Allan was a partner in a Product and Graphic Design Consultancy for many years in the Glasgow area with a world wide client base.

He returned to tutoring in art and design: starting in Dumfries & Galloway Regional Council,
Then Workers Educational Association, Strathclyde and Argyll & Bute Regional Council's, Clydebank and Argyll College's as well as a part-time tutor at The University of Glasgow.

Since 1992 he now lives and works in the North Argyll area as a full time landscape artist, where he draws much of his inspiration from. Painting mainly in oil, as he feels this gives him a better medium to express the colour of Scotland's West Coast and its Islands.
