Iona Leishman

Perth-born artist Iona is an elected member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists (GSWA).
Her work is included in The University of Stirling’s permanent collection.

Joan Eardley is a major influence on her work, as is contemporary Orcadian artist Peter McLaren.

Recently, she has been commissioned to paint a series of highland and lowland landscapes for the Royal Scottish Regiment, in addition to a series of paintings of Inverness Cathedral for the Provost. Previous commissions include a series of paintings of the Island of Canna for The National Trust for Scotland.
