Although she had formal training in drawing and painting, she considers herself largely as self taught. Her works are the results of many years of experimenting with colour and painterly surface. She particularly enjoy the vibrancy of colour.
The Scottish landscape has inspired many of her paintings coupled with the city life which has provided a further source of energy for her work.
She is a member artist of Primera and has exhibited her work in various galleries, including Paisley Art Institute, Maclaurin Galleries Ayrshire, Racquet Hall North Ayrshire, Kelvingrove Gallery (Macmillan Exhibition), Princes Square and Painshill Park exhibition Surrey.
Her work is in many private collections both at home and abroad, including Italy, Paris and Australia where she spends lengthy holidays visiting family. During these holidays she draws inspiration from The Out Back environment.
