Mark Holden

Born Glasgow 1962, Educated Edinburgh University. While at school Mark developed his drawing and painting techniques. Due to other subject choices he was unable to continue art after leaving for Edinburgh University.

His career had been in Sales and Marketing. At this time he developed a strong interest in photography. This had then led to several of his photographs being published in magazines. After a period of illness a few years ago Mark began to rediscover his interest in painting, from that point on he continued developing his work and over the last 5 years he has embarked on establishing himself as a full time artist.
Mark enjoys using colour and texture in his paintings to convey the experience of being at the varied locations. His Favourite landscapes to paint include St. Andrews, Elie and Iona.

He was recently the featured artist at The Annual Glasgow Macmillan Cancer charity event.
